OUR ADOPTION PROCESS

At Marley's Ferret Rescue and Rehoming, we aim to rehome the ferrets in our care, however sometimes this is not possible due to temperament and health issues. In these circumstances, we offer a life long home. We also offer rescue back up for every adopted ferret. This means if you adopt a ferret from us and can no longer care for them, they must be returned to the rescue in order for a suitable home to be found.

We also aim to rehome ferrets in pairs or to an existing group, therefore we will never recommend or adopt out single ferrets to live on their own unless they cannot live with other ferrets. We then will only rehome these to an indoor environment as they will need more one to one attention.

At Marley's Ferret Rescue and Rehoming, we neuter and microchip our ferrets before they go up for adoption. Sometimes neutering before adoption is not possible, therefore an arranged date will be made with potential adoptees to bring them back to us when this is possible. (other neutering methods can be discussed)

When adopting a ferret from us we will ask you to fill out an adoption form. We also ask for a minimum adoption fee of:

£70 for a neutered hob

£75 for a neutered jill

£65 per ferret when adopting more than one neutered ferret from us

£90 for a vasectomised hob

£85 per ferret when adopting more than one vasectomised hob from us

£60 for a unneutered kit (we will pay 20% of neutering, when they are of age)

Theses adoption fees help towards the basic veterinary care of the ferret. (£100 minimum to care for a ferret)

When adopting a ferret, we will ask to get to know you a bit more and about your personal life, as well as photos of your set up and any previous experience with ferrets.

If you have any questions on any of the ferrets up for adoption, please use our contact page or Facebook page.
